Annual Commanders' Conference 2010 of Army Corps of Engineers was held at Engineer Centre and School of Military Engineering, Quadirabad Cantonment here yesterday.
Defence Adviser to Prime Minister Major General (Retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique attended the Conference as the chief guest.
General Tarique in his speech hoped that the new generation commanders of the corps of engineers would maintain the honour and glory of the corps and at the same time would enhance its image.
He congratulated the newly investitured 5th Colonel Commandant.
Later, the chief guest planted a sapling at plantation yard of Quadirabad Cantonment and laid foundation stone of the proposed commandant's office complex.
Then he visited Chironjib Sappers Museum.
Chief of Army Staff General Md Abdul Mubeen, PSO of Armed Forces Division and Colonel Commandant Lieutenant General Abdul Wadud, Engineer-in-Chief of Bangladesh Army, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of ARTDOC and high military officials were present.
