Get the big one: Jamie

Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons stressed on the importance of his batsmen to carry on after getting starts in today's third one-dayer against New Zealand at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The Tigers lead the 5-match series 1-0 through a fantastic one-man show from Shakib Al Hasan who struck a half-century and picked up four wickets. But Shakib aside, none of the batsmen passed the 40-mark.
"One of the four batsmen needs to make a big score. I think then we'll have a really close match," said Siddons while speaking to reporters yesterday.
"Four batsmen making thirties yet everyone contributes which is probably something we need to do again. But someone needs to get a hundred or make a big score," he added.
Siddons pointed out that rival captain Daniel Vettori is the "danger man". "Vettori is our No 1 threat. His wicket in the first game for 24 was crucial. We need to take 35-40 runs off him for maybe one wicket," he said, adding, "He is obviously a danger man in batting or bowling."
The 46-year-old Australian also hinted that they could pick a three-man left-arm spin attack, by picking Suhrawardi Shuvo.
When asked for a change in the third one-dayer, Siddons said, "Maybe [Suhrawardi] Shuvo for Naeem [Islam]."
But when Siddons talked about the top-order batsmen, it obviously means that some of that responsibility to score a big one falls on opener Imrul Kayes, who made just 16 in the first game.
The left-hander admitted that he failed in his plan in last Tuesday's game but has an eye on making amends.
"I have some confidence against New Zealand because I scored my only (ODI) ton against them. But the main thing is that I had a plan in the first game but it wasn't successful. Whatever plan I make in the third game, I hope I can play according to that," said Kayes, who is among the top ten run-scorers in ODI cricket this year.
me but it wasn't successful. Whatever plan I make in the third game, I hope I can play according to that," said Kayes, who is among the top ten run-scorers in ODI cricket this year.
"There was a time when I think 200 was enough for the Bangladesh team. Scoring that much after every other game was a big thing for the team then, but now we have gone past that.
"But obviously 200 is not enough now, we have to score much more than that to win a game," he added.
Kayes, who has scored 660 runs this year in limited-overs cricket at an average of 33, believes the Tigers have definitely improved with the bat.
"Our batting has definitely improved. Now you will see we score 200-plus runs regularly. With it, our fielding has also improved," he said.
The Tigers won that match against the Kiwis last week and after the washed out second game, the fear is that some of that confidence may have dissipated, but Kayes dispelled those thoughts.
"We are quite confident after the win, but we do not think in that way. We take it on a match-by-match basis and if we can keep our plan in this way, I think we can be successful," said Kayes.
