Lily Islam’s solo performance at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre


Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Indian High Commission, Dhaka, arranged a musical soiree featuring noted Tagore singer Lily Islam. The event was held at the auditorium of Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre on September 24.
At the programme Lily Islam's repertoire included “Tumi Je Amarey Chao,” “Ami Kaan Petey Roi,” “Tumi Ki Keboli Chhobi,” “Olo Shoi,” Protidin Tabo Gantha,” “Bipul Tagongo Rey,” “Kar Banshi Nishi Bhorey” and more.
Later the singer sang on request: “Ei Udashi Hawar,” “Akash Bhora Shurjo Tara” and “Aaj Jyotsna Ratey”. She wrapped up with the familiar song “Aguner Paroshmoni.”
Apart from teaching music at Shanto Marium University, Lily Islam is busy with an upcoming album and giving time to her musical troupe Uttarayan.
