12th CUDS anniversary celebrations begin today

Chittagong University Debating Society (CUDS) will celebrate its 12th founding anniversary with two-day colourful programmes beginning today.
Poet Nirmalendu Guun will inaugurate the celebrations at the auditorium of Chittagong Muslim Institute Hall at 10:00am.
Social scientist Dr Anupam Sen, poet and Resident Editor of the Prothom Alo Abul Momen, CUDS moderator Dr Mahbubul Haque, writer Imdadul Haque Milon and debater Dr Abdur Noor Tushar will join the programmes on the first day.
The two-day programmes will feature talk show, star debate, teacher-student debate, old-fresher debate, professional debate, three dimensional debate and cultural functions.
The objective of these programmes is to familiarise the people with different formats of debate which will be presented by eminent debaters from schools, colleges and universities, said Tajul Islam, president of CUDS.
In addition, CUDS will raise funds for Sidr-affected people by selling tickets of the programmes at Tk 300 per person, he added.
The Daily Star, Channel i and Radio Today are the media partners of the two-day celebrations.
