Give info about troublemakers
Home Minister Sahara Khatun yesterday urged all to provide law enforcers with information about the individuals involved in creating unrest in the country in a bid to hinder the trial of war criminals.
She, however, said the law enforcement agencies are ready to foil such attempts.
She was talking to journalists while visiting the dormitories of female members of the police force at Dampara Police Lines Sunday afternoon. Abul Kashem, commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) and other senior officials accompanied her.
Describing the living condition in the dormitories as “miserable”, the minister stressed on expanding the facility to accommodate more female cops to be recruited.
Earlier, the home minister visited CMP headquarters near Laldighi and spoke to senior officials of CMP.
She was also present as the chief guest at a view exchange meeting organised by Bangladesh Manobadhikar Commission at Chittagong Circuit House.
Addressing the meeting, the minister said as the grand alliance government has started process of trying war criminals according to its electoral pledge, evil forces have already begun to plot a conspiracy to foil it.
Sahara asked for cooperation from all in order to execute the trial smoothly.
Presided over by Public Prosecutor Abul Hashem, Lawmaker Chemon Ara Taiyab also spoke at the meeting.
