RELIANCE INSURANCE
The insurer in its unaudited half yearly accounts until June 30 reported net profit of Tk 99.45 million with earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 32.69 against Tk 53.98 million and Tk 17.74 (restated) respectively for the same period of the previous year. Net profit was Tk 43.19 million with EPS of Tk 14.20 for the period of three months to June 30 against Tk 7.59 million and Tk 2.49 (restated) respectively for the same a-year-ago period.
KHULNA POWER COMPANY
The company will be placed in "A" category from existing "N" with effect from today as it reported disbursement of 10 percent cash dividend and 15 percent stock dividend for 2009.
DBH FIRST MUTUAL FUND
A meeting of the fund's trustee committee will be held on Sunday at 3:30pm to consider, among others, its audited financial statements, as of June 30, 2010.
SAFKO SPINNINGS
In line with unaudited half yearly accounts until June 30, the company reported net profit/(loss) of Tk (15.68) million against Tk (19.74) million for the same period of the previous year. Accumulated profit/(loss) was Tk (112.89) million until June 30.
JANATA INSURANCE
Unaudited half yearly accounts until June 30 show the insurer reported net profit of Tk 7.64 million with basic earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 10.53 against Tk 5.20 million and Tk 7.17 (restated) respectively for the same period of the previous year. Considering 12 percent bonus share for 2009, diluted EPS is Tk 9.40 until June 30 and Tk 6.40 for the same a-year-ago period. Net profit was Tk 4.49 million with EPS of Tk 6.19 for the period of three months to June 30 against Tk 2.63 million and Tk 3.62 (restated) respectively for the same period of the previous year. Considering 12 percent bonus share for 2009, diluted EPS is Tk 5.53 until June 30, 2010 and Tk 3.23 until June 30, 2009.
NATIONAL TEA
The company will be placed in "A" category from existing "B" with effect from today as it reported disbursement of 20 percent cash dividend for 2009.
EASTERN BANK
SEC has accorded its consent to the proposed change in the denomination of share value (face value) of the bank from Tk 100 to Tk 10 each as well as market lot from 20 to 200 shares.
RUPALI LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY
The insurer's share trading will be allowed only on the spot market and block/odd lot transactions will also be settled as per spot settlement cycle with cum benefit from today to Sunday. Trading remains suspended on Monday, the record date.
