Blackmailer cops captured

Two police constables on deputation at the Anti-Corruption Commission were arrested yesterday evening in connection with blackmailing people with fake ACC notices.
The arrestees, Faruk Hossain and Khasru Jahan, were handed over to Ramna Police Station.
The ACC investigated a number of complaints against the two and found that they used to issue fake notices using the name of ACC and blackmail people into giving them money, Officer-in-Charge of Ramna Police Station Shiblee Noman told The Daily Star last night.
ACC Assistant Director Jahangir Alam handed over the arrestees to Ramna police and filed a case against them.
