3 killed in road crashes

At least three people were killed and ten others injured in separate road accidents in Narsingdi and Panchagarh yesterday.
Our correspondent from Narsingdi reports: At least two people were killed and ten others seriously injured when a passenger bus and a Dhaka-bound pick-up collided in the Shilmondi area of the district yesterday noon.
The pick up driver, Bachchu Mia, 35, and an unidentified person, 30, were killed on the spot.
The injured were admitted to Narsingdi General Hospital.
A case was filed with the Narsingdi Model Police Station in this connection.
Our correspondent from Thakurgaon adds: A woman was crushed to death while crossing the road by a passenger bus on Panchagarh-Debiganj road in Telipara village in Panchagarh at around 9:00am yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Sabina Yasmin, 21, wife of Mozammel Haque of Telipara village.
Local people seized the bus and handed it over to the police.
