14 statues recovered

A team of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) seized 14 statues and Indian clothes worth around Tk 5 lakh from Sadipur border in Benapole, Jessore on Wednesday. Tipped off, a BDR team led by check post commander Humayun Kabir raided Sadipur village and recovered 14 silver statues and Indian saris, three pieces and T-shirts in abandoned condition. The recovered items were handed over to the Benapole Customs House. None was arrested in this connection, said the check post commander.
