Hosts win on penalties

Khagrachari got the better of Panthori on penalties during the second Deputy Commissioner Gold Cup Football Tournament at the Khagrachari Stadium yesterday.
The match went to penalties after the teams were tied at 1-1 after the end of extra-time.
Panthori missed all of their four penalty kicks while Khagrachari converted two out of four to seal victory.
Earlier, in driving rain, Khagrachari took the lead early in the second half after the first finished goalless. Panthori equalised with five minutes remaining to force the match into extra-time.
Khagrachari District Commi-ssioner Mohammed Shahadat Hossain was present to inaugurate the meet.
