Mother, son electrocuted

A woman and her son were electrocuted at Chotabandha village under Shibpur upazila of the district on Wednesday night. They are Shayesta Begum, 45, and her son Rubel, 23. Police quoted the family members as saying that Rubel came in contact with a live electric wire at their house at around 8:00pm. Shayesta Begum was also electrocuted as he tried to save his son. Locals took them to the upazila health complex where the doctors declared them dead.
