Textile, garment machinery show ends

The three-day textile and garment machinery show that displayed products including general machinery, dyes, chemicals, plastic, and printing and packaging machinery used mainly in textile and garment sectors concluded in Dhaka yesterday with a considerable turnout.
"We have organised the exhibition to help the local entrepreneurs experience the modern technology in Dhaka without travelling abroad," said Hasibul Bashar, senior marketing executive of the event management firm, CEMS Bangladesh.
Over 60 participants from home and abroad also showcased circular knitting machines, fire fighting and alarming equipment, water purifying machines, water pumps, packaging and T-shirt printing machines, generators, dying auxiliaries and industrial wastewater treatment chemicals.
The Daily Star, the daily Shomakal and TV channel ATN Bangla were the local media partners of the show.
Machinery assembled by Bangladeshi companies such as Pro-Knit Engineering, PACRITE Ltd, Imtex Packaging and New Nahar Engineering Works were also put on display at the exposition.
Showing a four-colour T-shirt printing machine, Mamun Khan, manager (spare parts) of PRO-KNIT Engineering, said, “We have made it. We have collected the equipment from local market."
Mamun, who is hopeful of assembling another machine to print six-colour T-shirt, said, “Come in January, you will see the six-colour ones.”
SwissColours Bangladesh showcased industrial wastewater treatment solutions for the entrepreneurs faced with water treatment problems.
“We want to exhibit that someone is here to help the industrialists seeking wastewater treatment solution,” said Syed Abid Raza Rizvi, sales manager of SwissColours Bangladesh.
