17 burn patients return home

At least 17 burn patients of Nimtoli inferno, who were admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital and Combined Military Hospital in the capital, returned home after receiving treatment for more than a week.
Around 46 burn patients were admitted to DMCH on June 3, the night of the fire incident. Of them 14 were referred to CMH on the following day.
Two seriously burnt patients--Nasrin, 38, and Sohel, 30, were released from CMH yesterday, said ISPR press release. So far, four burn victims have succumbed to their injuries, it also mentioned.
Dr Samanta Lal Sen, project director of Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of DMCH said at least 15 patients were released after their conditions improved while five died in the hospital.
Currently 12 victims of the Nimtoli blaze are undergoing treatment in DMCH while eight in CMH.
