No regrets for Ribery
Bayern Munich's French star Franck Ribery says he has no regrets after he gestured to Arminia Bielefeld fans to shut their mouths after he scored the winning goal at the Bundesliga strugglers.
The 24-year-old had been jeered by home fans in Bielefeld last Sunday before scoring the first-half goal which sealed Bayern's 1-0 win - their 10th league victory of the season which keeps them top of the Bundesliga.
But Ribery had endured a rough opening as sections of the crowd at Bielefeld's Schueco-Arena stadium made offensive chants until the French midfielder silenced their jeers with a well-taken goal.
He then gestured to the crowd it was time to keep their mouths shut. "I understood exactly what they were singing," said Ribery, who scored his fourth goal of the season to leave Bielefeld 14th in the league.
But Bayern striker Miroslav Klose, who was himself the target of jeers at the start of the season by Werder Bremen fans after his summer switch to Munich from the north German club, says Ribery should ignore the taunts.
