All about birds: “Bihanga Katha” on ATN Bangla
“Bihanga Katha,” an info-entertainment based documentary programme featuring different birds of Bangladesh and beyond, went on air on ATN Bangla on May 1. Planned and directed by Kaisar Kader Selim, the two-and-half minute long programme is aired everyday at 10:45pm. The programme will have 1000 episodes.
Birds have played central roles in literature, music, painting, architecture, dance and every form of arts from the ancient times. Of the 86,000 species worldwide, 1200 species of birds live in this subcontinent. Bangladesh is a safe haven for 550 species, among which 200 species are migrant and stay here for one third of the year.
“Bihanga Katha” provides information on the habitat, food habit, strange habits and more about a species in each episode.
