Two die in Narsingdi road crash

A woman and her son were killed and four of a family seriously injured when a passenger bus hit an autorickshaw on Dhaka-Mathkhola road at Hetemdi under Monohordi upazila in Narsingdi yesterday.
Autorickshaw passengers Shamsunnahar, 65 and her son Mizan died on the spot. The injured are Monwara, 50, Fatema, 27, Juena, 25 and the autorickshaw driver Sobhan.
The accident occurred at around 11:00am when a Mathkhola-bound passenger bus of Meghalaya Paribahan from Dhaka hit the autorickshaw at Hetemdi.
The injured have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The dead and the injured hailed from Baro Mirzapur village in Chalakchar union of the upazila. They were going to Sonargaon in Narayanganj upazila.
Monohordi police station officer-in-charge (OC) Miah Qutubur Rahman Chowdhury said the bodies have been sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
