JS budget session starts today
The Jatiya Sangsad goes into its budget session this afternoon, but the prospect of BNP-led opposition's joining the session appears to be slim as its demands are yet to be fulfilled.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith will place the national budget for 2010-2011 fiscal year in the House on June 10.
Main opposition BNP may place a shadow budget on June 7 for the financial year, Salauddin Quader Chowhdury, a member of BNP's national standing committee, told The Daily Star yesterday.
The BNP-led opposition did not join the budget session last year raising various demands.
A few BNP leaders said the party has yet to decide whether it would join the session or not.
It is almost certain that the opposition lawmakers belonging to BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Jatiya Party will not join the House that goes into session at 5:00pm.
The party has been demanding withdrawal of 'false cases' against BNP chief and other leaders and stopping unpleasant remarks on late president Ziaur Rahman and his family.

MK Anwar, a member of BNP's national standing committee, told The Daily Star over phone he did not know anything whether the party lawmakers would join the House today.
BNP-led opposition lawmakers had staged a walk out of the House on April 4, a day before the last session was prorogued opposing the passage of the bill raising remuneration and allowances of lawmakers.
We hope the opposition lawmakers would join the House, said ruling party Chief Whip Abdus Shahid yesterday.
They would get adequate time to speak, he added.
Meanwhile, the Business Advisory Committee led by Speaker Abdul Hamid sits an hour before the House sitting to decide on duration of time for business in the session.
