3 arrested with firearms

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three alleged drug and arms peddlers with five foreign firearms and eight rounds of bullets from Alam Market Jurain in the city on Sunday night.
The arrestees were identified as Badrul Alam alias Labu, 28, and his two associates Habib Ahmed alias Monir, 35, and Khalequzzaman alias Rony, 34.
Among them, Labu is one of the sons of industrialist Mohammad Alam, who was killed at his Jurain residence along with three maids on January 2 in 2002.
