One gets life for killing

A court here on Monday convicted a man and sentenced him to life term rigorous imprisonment (RI) for killing his younger brother in 2005. The convict is Julur Rahman, 45, son of Seraj Uddin of Suranpur village in Bholahat upazila. The court also fined him Tk 10,000, in default, to suffer one year more RI. According to prosecution, Shariful Islam was hacked to death by his elder brother Julur Rahman on May 5, 2005 in their house over a family feud.
