UTTARA BANK
The bank's Board of Directors recommended 50 percent stock dividend (one bonus share for every two shares) for 2009. The AGM will be held on June 3 (at 10am) at Officers' Club in Dhaka. The record date is May 5. The bank also reported profit after tax and provision of Tk 1,105.23 million, earnings per share of Tk 69.19, net asset value per share of Tk 388.58 and net operating cash flow per share of Tk 89.99, as of December 31, 2009. There is no price limit on trading of shares today following the bank's corporate declaration.
IPDC
The trading of shares of Industrial Promotion and Development Company will be allowed only on the spot market and block/odd lot transactions will also be settled as per spot settlement cycle from today until Thursday. Trading will remain suspended on April 25, the record date.

ASIA INSURANCE
Trading of the insurer's shares remains suspended today, the record date for AGM and EGM. Another record date for entitlement of the proposed right share will be notified after obtaining approval from the SEC.
NORTHERN GEN INSURANCE COMPANY
The insurer recommended 15 percent stock dividend for 2009. Its Board of Directors also decided to increase authorised capital from Tk 25 crore to Tk 100 crore and accordingly amend the company's Memorandum and Articles of Association, subject to approval of shareholders in the EGM and regulatory authorities. The EGM and AGM will be held on July 1 (at 10:30am and 11am respectively) at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka. The record date for EGM and AGM is May 4. The company also reported earnings per share of Tk 13.33, net asset value per share of Tk 123.42 and net operating cash flow per share of Tk 17.04, as of December 31, 2009. There was no price limit on trading of shares yesterday following the company's corporate declaration.

Normal trading of the company's shares resumes today, after record date.
LANKABANGLA FINANCE
Sampath Bank PLC, one of the corporate sponsor directors of the company, said it had completed selling its nine lakh shares at the prevailing market price through stock exchange as announced earlier.
