Saif unbeaten champion

Abdullah Al Saif became unbeaten champion in the Bangla New Year Rapid Chess tournament on Wednesday at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room.
Saif earned seven points while FM Mohammad Javed became runner-up with six points.
Masum Hossain, FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar, Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan and Nasiruddin Apu finished third, fourth, fifth and sixth through tie-breakers after all of them secured 5.5 points each.
A total of 86 players including three FIDE Masters and one WIM participated in the seven-round Swiss League tournament.
