Denmark promises to step up support to energy
Denmark assured Bangladesh of providing more assistance in power, energy, shipbuilding and trade and business sectors for the socioeconomic development.
The assurance came from visiting Danish Development and Cooperation Minister Soren Pind as he called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in Dhaka yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral issues, including Danish investment in Bangladesh's private sector and expansion of trade and business between the two countries.
Hasina said Bangladesh and Denmark currently enjoy excellent bilateral relations that are characterised by commonality of views, economic cooperation and increasing bilateral trade.
The government is eager to strengthen the bilateral relations further as it considers Denmark a dependable ally and development partner, she added.
