Rangpur trader brutally killed
Kotwali police on Monday night recovered mutilated body of a trader from Moyenakutti of Tapadhan union under Sadar upazila.
The body of victim Ahsanul Huq Belal, 45, of Mahiganj under Rangpur Sadar upazila, was cut into pieces.
Police arrested victim's wife Sufia Begum and son Shishir in connection with the murder.
Locals of Moyenakutti caught Sufia at about 11:00 pm while she was going with the mutilated body in a sack by an auto rickshaw.
On information, police rushed to the spot and arrested Sufia Begum. Later they arrested Shishir from her Mahiganj house.
Police believe Sufia Begum and her son Shishir killed Belal on Sunday night, cut the body into pieces and put them in a sack.
During interrogation Sufia told police that she found the body in a sack at her veranda Monday morning.
She was carrying the bag to her father's house at Haragachh by the auto rickshaw.
In Sirajganj, Belkuchi police yesterday morning recovered the body of a cloth trader from a field near Shameshpur Bazaar in the upazila reports our Correspondent.
The victim was identified as Monowar Hossain, 35, son of Dr Meher Chand Ali of Tetulia in Sadar upazila.
Quoting victim's family police said, a youth called Monowar out of his house on Tuesday night at around 8:00pm. He did not return home that night.
Locals found his body lying in the field and informed Belkuchi police. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
According to police, the assailants killed Monowar by cutting his throat and left it in the field.
