Painting competition on Ibrahim Kha’s death anniversary

A painting competition for children was held on March 29 at Bhuapur in Tangail to mark the 32nd death anniversary of Principal Ibrahim Kha, a noted litterateur-educationist-social reformer.
Principal Ibrahim Kha Library in Bhuapur organised the art competition at its premises. Other programmes on the occasion included a hand writing competition; a quiz on Ibrahim Kha -- his life and works, as well as a discussion.
District and Session Judge of Tangail, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam was chief guest at the discussion.
Among others, Bhuapur upazila chairman Shamsul Haque Talukdar Sanu; Abdus Salam, vice-principal of Principal Ibrahim Kha College in Bhuapur; Professor Shankar Das; Professor Mirza Mohiuddin and poet Abdul Halim Khan spoke at the discussion.
Bhuapur Municipality Mayor Abdul Khaleq Mondol presided over the meeting.
Highlighting the illustrious life of Principal Ibrahim Kha, the speakers at the discussion urged people to follow the ideals of the Kha in all spheres of their lives.
Later, the guests gave away prizes among the young winners of the competitions.
