BAU teachers stay out of duty

Teachers of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) abstained from taking classes and examinations yesterday demanding arrest of the culprits involved in recent attack on a teacher, students and employees of the university. A group of outsiders attacked Assistant Proctor Alamgir Hossain, students and employees on the night of March 17 as they opposed a programme organised by the outsiders, marking the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the campus without prior permission of the university authorities. At least 50 people, including the assistant proctor, were injured in the attack.
