Outlaw held in Kushtia
Police arrested a leader of outlawed Gono Bahini and recovered two firearms from him on Friday night.
The outlaw was identified as Rafiqul Islam Bablu, 39, son of Insan Ali of Ujangram in Sadar upazila in the district.
According to police, acting on a tip off they raided the house of Bablu at about 9:15 pm and arrested him.
Later, on his confession, police recovered two LG guns digging the floor of an abandoned house owned by Bablu's uncle.
Police said Bablu recently was trying to organise the outfit in his area. Bablu was an accused in two murder cases. He was jailed for three years in a case in 2004. He surrendered to court in 2005.
After ending the jail term in 2008, Bablu again joined the outlawed body.
