Young man found strangled

Unidentified assailants strangled a young man in Shabujbagh of the capital yesterday.
The deceased, 25, could not be identified immediately after police recovered his body at 9:00am. Shabujbagh police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College morgue.
The body of the young man wearing a shirt and a pair of jeans was found dumped on the rooftop of a one-storey building in Purbo Maniknagar with a nylon rope around his neck.
Investigation officer (IO) of the case Sub-inspector Abdullah Al Baki said the assailants killed the man sometime around midnight. The five tenants in the building said they had not heard any suspicious sound at night or in the morning before the body was recovered, the IO added.
A murder case was filed with Shabujbagh police station in this connection.
