U-19s match drawn in Pakistan
Bangladesh drew their opening Under-19s tour match against Pakistan as the four-dayer ended without much excitement at the Karachi National Stadium yesterday.
Resuming the final day on 58-3, Bangladesh were all out for 273 in their second innings with a 288-run overall lead.
The home side were 70-1 when the umpires decided to call it a day.
The visitors lost early wickets with overnight batsmen Mahmudul and Rubel, who resumed on 8 and 0 respectively, adding three runs each to their individual totals.
However, first-innings centurion Rony Talukder, who made 107 on the opening day, hit 53 and Marshall Ayub smashed 59 to repair the damage.
All-rounder Dollar Mahmud, who captured the lone Pakistani wicket in the second innings, made a useful 32.
Bangladesh move on to Hyderabad where they play the first two limited-overs games of the five-match series on November 26 and 28 before returning to Karachi for the remaining three matches in the port city, on December 2, 5 and 7.
