Kathin Chibor Dan concludes
Two-day Kathin Chibar Dan, the greatest religious festival of the Buddhist communities in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) concluded yesterday at Rangamati Rajban Bihar with great enthusiasm and religious fervour.
Seeking Divine blessings to Lord Goutam Buddha for lasting peace and prosperity for the people of all communities in CHT, thousands of Buddhist devotees offered prayer there.
On the occasion, ethnic people of Chakma, Marma, Tangchangya, Tripura, Pankhua, Lusai, Khiyang, Chak and Bam from different remote areas of Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari hill districts as well as people from all walks of life irrespective of caste, creed and religion thronged the premises of Rajban Bihar, the greatest Buddhist temple in CHT.
Venerable Sadhana Nanda Mohasthabir, chief monk of the Rangamati Rajban Bihar, Chakma Circle Chief (King) Devashis Roy, former minister for CHT affairs ministry Kalpa Ranjan Chakma, former deputy minister Moni Swapan Dewan, former MP Dipankar Talukder, attended the ceremony.
