Bangladesh U-19s well placed
Bangladesh Under-19s bounced back in their four-day tour match in Karachi yesterday, folding Pakistan Under-19's first innings for 328 on the second day.
The local boys were strongly placed when they resumed the third day on 214-1 in reply to their Bangladesh counterparts' first-innings total of 343 at the National Stadium.
But slinging-action paceman Rubel Hossain captured three wickets for 77 to inspire the visitors taking an edge as the Pakistan U-19s lost nine wickets for just 118 runs.
Shubhashish Roy, Mahmudul Hasan and skipper Sohrawardy Shuvo chipped in with two wickets each for Bangladesh, who reached 58 for three in their second innings at stumps to extend their overall lead to 73 runs.
