Upcoming 28th BCS

In a report published in DS last September the reporter identified many things regarding the upcoming 28th BCS exams. I'd like to extend my heartiest greetings to the reporter for taking this sort of an initiative. No advertisement has been issued since 2005. Already a good number of students have crossed the age limit. In this regard the Public Service Commission (PSC) can play a vital role by fixing the age limit as of November 2006, which was done during the 24th BCS, as the then BNP-led coalition government imposed an embargo after assuming office in 2001. Then the same government considered the age limit for the 24th BCS exams. Now the onus is on the Honourable Chairman of the PSC.
I do believe if it is done a good number of age-barred students will be able to take part in the upcoming 28th general BCS.

In a news item published in a Bangla daily on October 12, 2007, I noticed that the circular on the 28th BCS would be delayed for two or three months, as it has been sent to a committee. I'm disappointed as near about three years have passed since the circular of the 27th general BCS exams was issued. Already, a good number of candidates have crossed the age limit for appearing at the upcoming 28th BCS. I'd like to thank the Honourable Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC) for taking reform plans regarding the examination system.
I would appeal to the PSC chairman and the secretary of the ministry of establishment to fix the age limit as of November 2006 for the upcoming 28th BCS, so that many like me can appear in it.
