Teams start arriving here
The foreign athletes and officials have started to arrive in Dhaka for the 11th South Asian Games which starts in the capital on Friday.
After the arrival of Bhutan football team on Monday, portions of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal contingents arrived here yesterday.
The Indian delegation comprised the football team, which was scheduled to leave for Chittagong last night, chef de mission and administrative officer while the Pakistan's 123-member contingent included football, hockey, weightlifting, volleyball, cycling and badminton players along with eight officials.
The Nepal contingent comprised badminton and handball squads, which were accompanied by chef de mission, officials and journalists.
The Sri Lankan football squad along with chef de mission and assistant chef de mission are scheduled to arrive here today while Nepal's women football squad and volleyball squad are also expected to reach here today.
A 172-member Afghanistan contingent is also scheduled to arrive here today.
