Celebration ofArmed Forces Day cancelled

The programmes to celebrate the Armed Forces Day on Wednesday have been cancelled considering the loss of life and property caused by cyclone Sidr.
The Armed Forces alongside different ministries and offices concerned are conducting rescue and relief operations in the cyclone-affected areas, said an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release yesterday.
The programmes including the reception at Sena Kunja of Dhaka Cantonment as well as other cantonments have been cancelled considering the plight of cyclone-affected people.
