Matches to start at 2pm

The talking point that has grabbed the headlines since the start of the Idea Cup has been the dew factor.
India captain MS Dhoni was the first to air his concerns about the dew. The two other captains soon joined in as they played their first game on the 4th of January. Since then dew has turned out to be the deciding factor in the matches and has grabbed the headlines.
All three captains requested the authorities for the matches to be brought forward to cut the impact of dew. Organisers were in a spot of bother as such a decision would mean negotiating with not only ICC, but more importantly the broadcasters, who have the ultimate word in modern cricket. After sitting with all the parties, the tournament organizing committee came to the decision that the remaining matches of the Idea Cup will start at 2pm instead of 2:30pm effective from 8th of January.
A press release from the Bangladesh Cricket Board yesterday said, "The decision has been made in an effort to minimize the impact of the afternoon dew on games. The three teams and the ICC Match Referee are in agreement over the changed timing."
In a separate decision, the Ticket & Seating Committee of BCB has revealed that Gallery Ticket price for the final of the Idea Cup has been reduced to Tk 200 instead of Tk 300. The Ticket & Seating Committee also announced the ticket prices for the upcoming series against England. The price for a gallery ticket for the three one-dayers has been set at Tk 100 while for the two Tests it has been set at Tk 50.
