Fair probe demanded

Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (Skop) yesterday expressed concern over the death of four workers in an oil tanker explosion at a ship-breaking yard in Sitakunda.
In a statement, the Parishad leaders demanded a fair probe into the explosion, legal action against the persons responsible and payment of compensation to the family members of the dead and proper treatment of the injured.
Parisahd leaders Abdul Matin Master, Dr Wazedul Islam Khan, Shah Md Abu Zafar, Abdul Kader Hawladar, Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chowdhury Ashiqul Alalm and Shafiuddin Ahmed issued the statement.
