Schoolboy strangled in city

Unidentified miscreants strangled a boy at Tejgaon industrial area in the city.
Police recovered the body of Mohammad Sujon, 12, a student of class IV of Tejgaon Central Press Government Primary School, from Begunbari canal yesterday afternoon.
Police later sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Sujon was strangled to death, morgue sources said.
Abul Hossain, father of the deceased and a street hawker, said Sujon remained missing since last Saturday.
On that day, he started for school from his Begunbari residence in the morning but did not return, Hossain added.
Sahab Uddin, sub-inspector of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, said street boys saw Sujon's decomposed body and informed the police.
Suzon might have been killed following an altercation with some of his friends, he said.
Police are investigating the incident, he added.
