Four more Bogra Shibir activists arrested
Police yesterday arrested four more activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) in connection with Sunday's violent clashes at Government Azizul Haque University College.
Police said, they raided different areas at night and rounded up Mizanur Rahman,22, from Jamilnagar and Rizvi, 17,
Zahurul Islam, 17, and Hamidul Islam,20, all students of Shah Sultan College, from Latifpur Colony.
They were shown arrested in the case filed against them on charge of campus violence, they added.
Police said, during the raid they picked up five people including one Ariful Islam,25. But Arif was later released.
Earlier on Sunday night, two Shibir men - Ismail Hossain,24, and Anwarul Islam,22, were picked up from Shahid Akhtar Ali Moon Hall soon after filing of the case.
At least 18 students were injured as the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Islami Chhatra Shibir locked in a violent clash at the college on Sunday.
BCL on Sunday night filed a case against 150 Shibir members in connection with the clash that led to indefinite closure of the college.
