V-Day hockey
Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan kept their hopes of playing the final alive when they played out a 2-2 draw in the Victory Day Hockey Tournament at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium yesterday.
Both Army and BKSP are now level with four points each playing three outings, two points less than leaders Bangladesh Hockey Federation XI, who have six points from two matches.
After the barren first half, Army went ahead in the 48th minute with Jamal Khan converting a penalty corner and five minutes later Sirajul Islam doubled the margin through a field goal.
But, BKSP bit back to reduce the margin when Hasan Jubair struck the board in the 58th minute and Ajit Kumar Gosh equalised the margin five minutes from time.
