'Enact law to protect rights of internal migrants'

Speakers urged the government to make specific law to preserve rights and privileges of internal migrants.
They made the demand at a discussion organised by Khagrachhari district administration at Officers' Club in the town yesterday marking the International Migrants Day.
They also demanded to ensure sustainable development of migrants through resolving their problems.
Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Zakir Hossen presided over the discussion while Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin attended as the chief guest.
Mong Mong Marma, executive director of a local NGO Rureya Lummay Thethang, read out the keynote papers.
Mohammad Kabir and Jashim Majumder also spoke at the programme.
