Minor girl, woman murdered

Unidentified criminals killed a minor girl and a woman in separate incidents in city's Badda and Dakkhin Khan yesterday.
The girl was identified as Banna, 11, daughter of Abdul Kader of Kotbari in Dakkhin Khan while the identity of the woman aged around, 30, could not be known.
Police sent both the bodies to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Badda police yesterday noon recovered the beheaded body of the woman wrapped in a travel bag from a roadside ditch at Khilbarirtek in Badda.
Police said her legs were severed from the waist. The head and legs were not found.
In another incident, Government Railway Police (GRP) of Kamalapur Railway Station recovered the body of Banna from near the railway track at Kotbari yesterday.
Sukkur Ali, brother of Banna, said Banna was a student of an NGO-run school in the area and she had remained missing since Friday evening.
Some locals informed him about the dead body and later police recovered it, he added.
Police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the murder.
