Kushtia FFs demand trial of war criminals
Freedom fighters of Kushtia in a meeting yesterday urged the government to take steps against war criminals.
Appraising the government's action against corrupt people including politicians, the freedom fighters said the government will once again get thanks from the countrymen through trying the war criminals.
"This is high time to try the war criminals as all the governments after independence failed to do so," they said in a statement.
The freedom fighters under the banner of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Oikya Parishad held the meeting at its central office in Kushtia.
They critisised the previous government for not trying the war criminals.
They all have used the war criminals for political gains.
Condemning the comments of Jamaat-e-Islami leaders Mojaheed and Kader Mollah, the freedom fighters urged the people to resist them everywhere.
If the present government does not take any step to try the war criminals, the country will have to experience two streams, which will further hinder the country's progress, they said.
