3 students expelled

Three students of Dhaka University (DU) residing at Salimullah Muslim Hall were expelled yesterday as they clashed in their room violating the rules of the hall.
They are Mahabubur Rahman Russel, second year student of public administration, Salah Uddin Sohel, second year student of sociology, and Asadur Rahman Asad, third year student of Persian and Urdu department.
All of them were residing in room no 176.
Sources said they clashed over silly family matters.
"Russel and Sohel hit my head with iron rod at about 1:45am on Monday. I had to take treatment from Dhaka Medical College and Hospital. I just tried to protect myself," Asad said.
The hall authorities formed a four-member committee to investigate the incident.
