Three staff members of Ghorashal Urea Fertiliser Factory were arrested from their quarters early yesterday in connection with the August 12 fire incident in the factory.
The arrested were identified as Deputy Assistant Chemist Sukumar Chandra Roy and High Skilled Operators Jashimuddin and Zakir Hossain.
They were arrested after General Manager (Administration) Farid Ahmed filed a case against them with Polash Police Station under the Special Powers Act on Sunday night.
The fire broke out in the high compressor section of the factory on August 12, causing huge loss to the national exchequer.
