The Daily Independent moved into the quarterfinals of the Pepsi-DRU cricket beating INB by five wickets at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium yesterday.
Batting first, eight runs losing four wickets in their stipulated overs. Independent easily chased down the target without losing any wicket. In the other matches of the day, Diganta (78/2) beat Janapad (77/1) by three wickets, Jugantor (49/0) beat BSS (48/4) by five wickets, Shamakal (72/5) beat Banglabazar (10/5) by 62 runs, Banglavision (41/1) beat Destiny (40/2) by four wickets. Besides, Nayadiganta and Sangram got walk-overs in their respective matches against Baishakhi and Ittefaq.
