Doctors observe strike

Physicians of district general hospital on Sunday observed a three-hour work abstention protesting manhandling of a fellow doctor and ransacking of his room.
After the work abstention, the doctors submitted a memorandum to the civil surgeon giving a 24-hour ultimatum for arrest of the attackers.
In the memorandum, they warned that they would go for indefinite strike if their demand is not met.
Local sources said, Anwar Hossain, brother of a local Chhatra League leader, beat up Dr Mahmudul Huda and ransacked his room, over a trifle issue on Saturday.
Dr Huda later filed a case with the police.
