It is almost a competition among the grabbers how fast one can occupy a piece of land to the east of the 3rd Karnaphuli Bridge expecting that land prices would be double once the bridge is opened. They are even lifting sands from the riverbank to create new plots. Photo: Zobaer Hossain Sikder
