Eastern Cables
Unaudited quarterly accounts for the 1st quarter to September 30 (July to September 2009) show the company has made a net loss of Tk 10.14 million with EPS of Tk (4.23) as against a net profit of Tk 0.86 million and EPS of Tk 0.36 for the 1st quarter ended on September 30, 2008.
Mercantile Bank
The bank has said the Board of Directors has unanimously decided to modify the proposed capital structure of forthcoming “MBL 1st Mutual Fund” worth Tk 100 crore. Under the modified proposal, the size of initial public offering of the total issue has been increased to Tk 50 crore from Tk 20 crore and a portion of private placement has been reduced to Tk 40 crore from Tk 60 crore. The sponsor portion will be for Tk 10 crore, which was Tk 20 crore earlier.
BLTC
The company did not recommend dividends for the year 2008. The AGM will be held at 11:30am on December 30 at the factory premises at Barkhada in Kushtia. The book closure date has been fixed from November 23 to 30, 2009. The company has also said NAV per share stood at Tk 1,013.45 and earnings per share Tk (609.39) for the year to December 31, 2008.
EBL 1st Mutual Fund
On the close of operations on October 29, the fund's per unit NAV stood at Tk 10.69 on a market price basis and Tk 10.64 on a cost price basis against face value of Tk 10, whereas net assets of the fund stood at Tk 106.93 crore based on market prices and Tk 106.39 crore based on cost prices.
Dhaka Fisheries
As per audited accounts as on June 30, the company has incurred a net loss of Tk 7.66 million with EPS of Tk (24.16) as against Tk (3.00) million and Tk (9.46) as of June 30, 2008. An accumulated loss of the company was Tk (6.91) million as of June 30.
Mutual Trust Bank
The bank has said it is going to form a subsidiary company in the name of “MTB Capital Ltd” for merchant banking operation due to a regulatory requirement. The bank has obtained approval from Bangladesh Bank and registration from the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms. The bank has also applied to the SEC for a merchant banking licence.
Aramit
As per unaudited quarterly accounts for the 3rd quarter to September 30, the company has fetched Tk 58.08 million in net profit with basic EPS of Tk 14.52.
Mutual Trust Bank
In line with unaudited quarterly accounts for the 3rd quarter ended on September 30, the bank's net profit stood at Tk 369.10 million with EPS of Tk 20.90 as against Tk 104.95 million and Tk 5.94 (restated) respectively for the 3rd quarter ended on September 30, 2008.s
