<i>Save poor farmers</i>

To save the poor cultivators in severely flood affected areas and to make the next harvest better to sustain the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country, the crying needs are:
1. Quick identification of the severely affected areas.
2. Quick prioritisation of the affected areas.
3. Timely supply of fertilisers to the flood-hit farmers.
4. Reduced-rate/free fertilisers to the poor cultivators.
5. Assistance like supplying electricity used in irrigation in paddy-fields at a cheaper rate, hassle-free access to agri-loans, direct field-level fuel subsidy for the cultivators etc should also be ensured.
