Seventy-eight lathials from four upazilas of Magura and adjoining districts, including Sohrab Sarder, Shawkat Sarder, Akbar Sarder, Obaidul Sarder, Golam Hossain Sarder and Awal Sarder, participated in the event.
The same night, a musical soiree featuring 'Bichargaan' (a light song in the form of a debate on various issues, especially spiritual) was also held at the same venue.
A team led by Ayesha Parveen from Kushtia district and another led by Nazrul Fakir from Jhenidah performed in the event, which continued well into the midnight.
The youths of Bhaina village, led by Rana Amir Osman and Ali Akbar, organised the events.
People from all walks of life enthusiastically flocked to the venue. These included prominent local personalities such as Deputy Commissioner of Magura, Mohammad Dilwar Bakht; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Tarikul Alam; Sadar Upazila Parishad chairman Abu Nasir Bablu and others.
The music and rhetoric went down exceedingly well with the audience.
