One arrested from Uttara

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Moudud Quazi, 25, an accused in the US citizen Johny Baroi murder case from Uttara in Dhaka yesterday.
Moudud was a warranted fugitive accused in the murder case of Johny of Muksudpur in Gopalganj.
The US government repeatedly urged Bangladesh government to arrest Moudud.
Rab sources said Moudud and his accomplices abducted Johny from Jolir Par in Muksudpur on April 20, 2008. They took him to Shibchar in Madaripur and demanded ransom for his release.
At one stage after not getting ransom they killed him. The body was found the following day.
A case was filed with Muksudpur Police Station in this connection on April 23, 2008.
He has been handed over to Madaripur Police Station.
